End of path

A path, the Ohlone Greenway, goes west from University Avenue along an abandoned rail line. East of University Avenue, the line has largely been sold off and built up; it eventually joins Shattuck Avenue, along which it probably ran at one time. The part of the path shown here is new since 1999. It crosses many streets -- note bollards in the background. Farther north, a section built earlier runs alongside the BART regional rail line, which follows the former abandoned rail line -- see other photo from 1999.
